FIBER!!! learn to love it. The benefits of eating this nutrient are incredible.
First thing first, their are two different types of fiber soluble and insoluble. Soluble fiber comes from things like oat, fruit, and veggies, and some nuts/seeds. Soluble fiber contributes to heart health. Insoluble fiber comes from whole wheat/ grain carbs, bran, veggies, and nuts/seeds. Insoluble helps add bulk to your feces. ( it helps you poop)
A higher fiber intake is linked with helping to reduce your risk of many diseases known to modern day society . Cancer, heart disease, arteriosclerosis, IBS you name it, eating more fiber will likely help you avoid these .
Fiber is crucial for any diet thanks to the role it plays in digestion. Eating fiber helps keep you feeling full which is crucial when dieting and your calories and carbs are reduced. Think about this, you could eat 50 grams of carbs in a bowl of cereal or 50 grams of carbs in veggies which one do you think you will leave you more full?
Hint: Its not the cereal.
The slow digestion of fiber helps you make you feel full more quickly and much longer. Finally foods high in fiber are also packed with other great nutrients and minerals. Just think about it what has more nutrients that bowl of cereal or the bowl if veggies?
What do you think about foods where Fiber is added? Do you think you get the same benefits as natural fiber from plants?

The same no, but I’m not against it either. I would say just about anytime fiber is added into a food, that food becomes better. I’m firm believer in going straight to the source

Yeah – I’m with you on that. I’m always just curious to hear what other people have to say.
I imagine I eat a ton of fiber because I eat mostly veggies. I noticed recently that when I eat something marked as having Fiber (for example, a Fiber One bar) it kind of hurts my stomach. Wondering if I’m imagining things.
