Possibly the Best Way to Train

Over the years science has found out that steady state cardio is not the best way to lose weight. Instead pushing your body as hard as it can for a short period of time then resting and repeating is actually a more effective way to lose weight. This type of training is called High Intensity Interval Training or HIIT. Traditional HIIT is fine if you are into running you will run sprint for 100M then rest for 1 min or 30 seconds if you want to push yourself. I personally like yo get a little more creative with HIIT and will add in strength training or calisthenics.
5 push ups every 30 seconds for 10 minutes = 100 push ups total
You can change out push-ups with any of your favorite exercises i.e. squats, pull-ups, lunges, box jumps etc.
or you can do your favorite strength training workout
5 reps of bench 45 lbs every 30 seconds and again just rotate the exercises as you please.
All of these exercises are effective at cutting weight. The strength training has the added benefit of well strength training. Although you probably wont be able to use very much weight at first the muscle activation is incredible and will push you to your limits, not the mention cutting your workout down to ten or 15 minutes.
